“Grand Re-Opening of diAmano Chocolate – diAmanoFineChocolates.com”
diAmano Chocolate announces grand re-opening & eCommerce Chocolate site for shipments across the U.S
Craig and Sheree D’Egidio, the proprietors/chocolatiers behind a chocolate franchise in Atlanta since 2002, are launching their new, independent chocolate business, called diAmano Chocolate.
In conjunction with the new store the couple are introducing the launch of their ecommerce website making diAmanoAtlanta Chocolate available for online ordering and shipment across the U.S.
The couple, who have been in the chocolate confections business for the last decade, are proud to announce the grand re-opening with a new name, newly renovated retail storefront, and fresh menu of unique handmade chocolate confections you will want to come in and try.
The name of their new business, diAmano, says it all:
“We came up with the name diAmano based on the Italian adjectives ‘di a mano: of hand’ and ‘di amano: of love’ and created our own word called diAmano: by hand with love. We feel that since everything we do is handcrafted with care and attention, that this name embodies who we are and what we stand for,” said co-owner Craig D’Egidio. “We still hand dip all of our chocolates, unlike many other chocolate shops, and continue creating our own recipes for fresh made truffles and a variety of specialty confections. In addition, we also offer over 1,000 different customized shapes to make memorable impressions, for both personal and professional gifts.”
Once a customer steps into diAmano Chocolate in Atlanta, he or she will be able to first smell the heady aroma of fresh chocolate and then see a wide array of gourmet chocolate confections including salted caramels, English butter toffee, and a plethora of ganache filled truffles and bon bons.
“We recently introduced a line of specialty chocolate bars that range from hazelnut, blueberry, sea salt and dark chocolate, to cherry, chipotle, ancho powder and dark chocolate, to peanut butter and cocoa nibs in milk chocolate,” said co-owner Sheree D’Egidio. “The truffles that have our chocolate business so popular, have been taken to a whole new level of flavor: Strawberry balsamic, chili habanero, creamy coconut cream pie, and the decadent cherry cheese blintz.”
In addition to rebranding the business, the Sandy Springs retail space has recently undergone a complete renovation, allowing for not only a more inviting shopping experience, but also a window into the production room. Customers can now watch these talented chocolatiers make the delicious product right before their eyes.
About diAmano Chocolate: diAmano Chocolate specializes in high-quality chocolate confections that are made fresh by hand with love. Their chocolates are made by hand on-site at their family-owned Atlanta location. “Insurance Scandal Rocks Houston and New Jersey”
Insurance scam worth approximately US$3 million covers 31 counts of fraudulent claims against auto insurance companies like AIG, Farmers, State Farm, and USAA.
United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson filed a case against a chiropractor and 4 other individuals in an insurance scam worth approximately US$3 million. This case covers 31 counts of fraudulent claims against auto insurance companies like AIG, Farmers, State Farm, and USAA.
Chase Lindsey, the chiropractor and his cohorts recruited persons who were in auto accidents and order medical treatments that were completely unnecessary. Lindsey also forwarded bills to the insurance companies for treatments that were never done. From 2007 to 2009, Lindsey and his team were able to collect over $1.5 million from the insurance companies. If convicted, all 5 face 10 years in jail and fine of at least $250,000 each for conspiracy and another 20 years in federal prison and another $250,000 per person for each of the 30 other counts.
In Somerset, New Jersey, Maria Demeter pleaded guilty to insurance fraud after she was caught lying on her auto insurance applications. She was ordered to do 50 hours community service and was placed on probation. Her lies were about living alone when she was in fact living with her husband. She lied because her husband is ineligible for company insurance and she was paying a lower premium as a single adult. She also made an insurance claim in 2010 for over $4,000 using the false information.
Demeter may have to pay almost $40,000 to the New Jersey Business and Industry Association which provides affordable Insurance to its members. She will also have to pay for court fees. Her charge was noted as 3rd degree insurance fraud and the exact amount to be charged to her will be known by February 2013.

“Holman’s USA Donates Apple iPads to 4 APS Classrooms”
Holman’s USA, a national firm with deep Albuquerque roots, has donated 24 Apple iPads to four APS classrooms.
It’s a Christmas gift that will bring joy long past the holiday season.
Holman’s USA, a national firm with deep Albuquerque roots, has donated 24 Apple iPads to four APS classrooms – and in the process is opening the door to a brighter future for children with autism.
Holman’s donation to autism teachers at Pajarito, McCollum, Mark Twain and Petroglyph elementary schools will help speed the learning and development of children who are greatly helped by the technology.
This week, Holman’s President Anthony D. Trujillo delivered the donations to teachers Peggy Hulick (Petroglyph), Heather Diluzio (Pajarito), Cristal Wilson (Mark Twain) and Ritamarie Theiler (McCollum).
In every case, the teachers beamed – or cried tears of joy.
“What Anthony and Holman’s USA are doing is almost indescribable,” said Phill Casaus, head of the APS Education Foundation. “Teachers rave about the effectiveness of the iPads for children with autism – they say it makes a difference. Anthony is responding to that, and making a day-after-day contribution to the betterment of APS students.”
Holman’s was founded in 1955 by E.S. Holman of Albuquerque serving primarily as a map and drafting supply store. As needs advanced and the technology evolved, Holman’s expanded its focus to include high-tech computing and automatedComputer Aided Drafting (CAD) systems along with advanced survey solutions including Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) system solutions.
Under the leadership of the Trujillo family, which has owned the company for decades, the company has diversified and began transitioning to Holman’s USA, LLC in January 2010. Holman’s is now a national business. In addition to its headquarters in Albuquerque, the company has offices in Tempe, Ariz.; Golden, Colo.; Livermore, Calif.; Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and Los Alamos.
Holman’s USA’s commitment to education in Albuquerque is nothing new – the company has supported Albuquerque Public Schools initiatives on many fronts. But Trujillo, a graduate of Eldorado High School and the UNM Anderson School of Management, said his company is concentrating its giving toward helping teachers in autism classrooms. The company holds a benefit golf tournament to help raise money for the effort.
“It’s an honor to give back to our local communities regionally and nationally. Helping these wonderful teachers and students in APS is very rewarding,” Trujillo said. “I want to recognize our customers and key sponsors for making this initiative an ongoing success. Holman’s will continue providing technology for autism and our legacy of giving back to the community. These teachers are incredible and we will do everything possible to help them in support of autistic students making strides toward inclusion in mainstream classrooms.”
